Report: Xi: Russia–China energy coop helps global energy security

BEIJING, Oct 19 (PRIME) -- Russia–China energy cooperation has played an active role in ensuring energy security of the two countries and the world, China's President Xi Jinping said in a congratulatory letter to the Russia–China Energy Business Forum quoted by China Central Television (CCTV) on Thursday.

“(Energy cooperation) is a model of business cooperation between Russia and China based on equality and mutual benefit. It has played an active role in ensuring energy security and sustainable development of the two countries and the whole world,” he said.

Energy cooperation between the countries has become comprehensive and large-scale, he also said.

China is ready to cooperate with Russia to improve the sustainability of supply chains in the energy sector, Xi said.
